Which Would You Choose – A Bar of Chocolate Or A Bar of Silver? – that’s the question Mark Dice posed to members of the public in America.
Watch the choices people make when given the choice of a Hershey’s Bar straight from the fridge or a slightly grubby 10oz bar of silver.
The video shows the utter ignorance the general public have of the value of precious metals. One participant says “I don’t have any way to do anything with the silver“…while standing outside a coin shop where the silver could have been appraised!
Just to let you know, a Hershey Bar is worth a couple of bucks. A 10 oz bar of silver is worth about $170!
If you’re still on the fence over which bar you’d choose, you really should check out this recent post!
BTW, you can find Mark Dice’s various books here.

That’s really amazing. Especially when cities are littered with Pawn shops offering to buy Silver and Gold. They may not give you full value but its all profit if you got the silver for free!
I might have chosen the Hershey bar myself at one time before I started looking into the value of gold and silver and how to invest in them. Now maybe the question is “Why do so many people know so little about precious metals and how they can preserve your savings?”
